The Water, Health, and Microbiology (WHAM) Laboratory at the University of Utah works at the intersection of engineering, microbiology, and health to solve pressing environmental and public health challenges, with a focus on emerging microbial pathogens and drinking water engineering. The WHAM laboratory is overseen by Prof. Katherine Dowdell, an assistant professor of environmental engineering.
